The "Daijayama Festival" is no longer just a festival in Omuta, and by extension in the world.

In fact, 41 years ago, in 1982, Fukuoka Prefecture and the state of Hawaii in the United States formed a partnership as a sister state relationship.

That led to the performance of Daijayama in Omuta, where we live, at the Honolulu Festival in Hawaii.

Daijayama was first performed at the Honolulu Festival in 1998, 25 years ago.

Since then, Daijayama has been performed every year in Hawaii.

The popularity of Daijayama in Honolulu is so great that it even became a feature in the Honolulu Festival's key performer.
